US Producer Prices Unchanged In March, Core Up 0.3%

U.S. producer prices were unchanged in March, the U.S. Labor Department announced Thursday, as the surge in energy prices took a breather last month.

Also, the flat March price stat was considerably lower than the 0.3 percent rise seen in the Bloomberg consensus estimate.

Excluding food and energy prices, core producer prices rose 0.3 percent in March.
