The U.S. released the retail sales index for the month of April, where retail sales increased by 0.4% following the prior revised rise of 2.1% and above median estimates of 0.2%, while retail sales that exclude Autos increased in April by 0.4% inline with expectations and down from the prior revised rise of 1.2%, and finally the retail sales that exclude gas and auto increased by 0.4% above median estimates of 0.3% and following the prior revised rise of 1.3% back in March.
