U.S. Retail Sales

The U.S. released the retail sales index for the month of March, where retail sales increased by 0.4%, compared with the prior revised rise of 1.1% and slightly below estimates of 0.5%, while retail sales excluding autos increased by 0.8% in March, compared with the expected rise of 0.7% and the prior revised rise of 1.1%, and finally, retail sales excluding autos and gas increased by 0.6%, compared with the prior revised rise of 0.9% and above estimates of 0.5%.
