FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Advance estimates of retail sales and food services rose by 1.2% in November, while excluding motor vehicle and parts it rose by 1.8%, according to the latest information by US Census Bureau.

The market expectations were a lower increase of 0.6% in retail sales, while excluding vehicles expectations were an increase by 0.7%. October's data for retail sales excluding vehicles was upwardly revised to an increase by 0.4% from the 0.2% initially estimated.

The highest increases in retail sales were registered in gasoline stations where sales rose by 6.8% in November. Clothing sales rose by .6%, electronics and appliance store increased sales by 2.5% and Sporting goods, hobby and book stores improved their sales by 2.2% in November.
