FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Consumer sentiment has worsened slightly in United States in March, while current index has improved, according to Reuters/University of Michigan Sentiment Index's latest report.

In the March survey, consumer sentiment has declined to 69.5 points from 70.8 in February, the market expected a slight increase to 71.0 points. In March 2007, consumer sentiment was posted at 88.4 points.

The assessment of the current economics situation has improved to a level of 84.2 in March from 83.8 points in February, while the expectations index has fallen to 60.1 in March from 62.4 posted in February and well bellow from 78.7 recorded a year ago.
