The National Association of Realtors said on Monday that pending home sales in the U.S unexpectely gained 2.0 percent in January, after falling a revised 1.9 percent in December, beatin analysts' median estimate of 1.0 percent.

Compared with the year ended January, pending home sales increased 10 percent loast month, from 4.4 percent in the prior month, slightly below 10.7 percent expected.
