U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met on Friday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Amman, Jordan, according to a published report.

The Associated Press said on Friday that Kerry planned to return to Jerusalem later for more talks with the Israeli government later, after his meeting with Abbas. AP said Kerry met for about four hours with Israeli officials on Thursday before heading to Amman.

AP quoted Kerry saying to Abbas, “It's good to be back, and I look forward to our conversation. We have a lot to talk about, obviously, as you know."
