The US trade balance deficit widened to 39.7 billion in February, which is worse than the expected deficit of 38.5 billion and the prior reading of 37.3 billion, while the import price index for March came in at 0.7%; worse than the predicted 1.0% but better than the prior reading of -0.3% and for the year ending March it came at 11.4%, which is worse than the forecasted 11.7% but better than the prior reading of 11.2%.
