The US released its preliminary reading of its Uni. of Michigan Confidence for October showing an expected dull decline as it came in at 69.4; worse than the forecasted reading of 73.6 and the prior reading of 69.4, having in mind that overall confidence is so far unsteady as on one hand the economic conditions plunged to 72.1 from 73.4 in September, while that in August it reached 66.6.

On the other hand, the economic outlook came in this month at 67.6 from 73.5 in September and 65.0 in August and the consumer confidence came in at 69.4 in October from 73.5 in September and 65.7 in August.
