The Dollar has risen against most majors, as weaker than expected jobless claims which came out 456K vs. expected 450k have added concerns about the strength of economic recovery. NASDAQ and Dow Jones rose by 0.58% and 0.08% respectively. Crude oil suddenly fell below the 82$ level but quickly recovered and closed almost unchanged at 83.7$ a barrel. Gold (XAU) lost some of its previous gains and closed at 1141$ an ounce. Today, The Core Durable Goods Orders is expected at 0.7% vs. 1.4% previously and The New Home Sales is expected at 325K vs. 308K previously.
