USD/JPY Open 77.99 High 78.18 Low 77.86 Close 77.95

On Monday Dollar/Yen decreased insignificantly with 30 pips. The currency couple depreciated from 78.18 to 77.86 yesterday, matching the negative Interbank sentiment at bellow -5%, closing the day at 77.95. This morning the Dollar is trading quietly against the Yen, with movements at the lower end of yesterday's range for now. On the 1 hour chart new small angle upward channel is emerging, while on the 3 hour chart trading is still within wide range. Break above yesterday's top and nearest resistance 78.18 would encourage further recovery of the Dollar. Immediate support is yesterday's bottom at 77.86, and consistent break bellow it could strengthen the Yen further down towards next target 77.00. Today are Japan Housing, Construction orders, Nationwide and Tokyo-area CPI, Unemployment, Household spending, Retail sales, and Industrial output, at 5, 23:30 and 23:50 GMT respectively. Quotes are moving bellow the crossed 20 and 50 EMA on the 1 hour chart, indicating bearish pressure. The value of the RSI indicator is negative and calm, MACD is negative and tranquil too, while CCI has crossed down the 100 line on the 1 hour chart, giving over light short signals.
