Could The Second Coming Of 'The Special One' Be A Recipe For Disaster At Chelsea?

As the old saying goes, you should never go back.

In the end, neither party had much alternative.

Monday's announcement by Real Madrid that Manager Jose Mourinho would be leaving at the end of the season came as no surprise, he has cut a forlorn figure over the last few months and this seems to be the most amicable solution for all parties. Now, his inevitable return to his former club Chelsea is the worst kept secret in Football. Reports suggest that terms have already been agreed and Mourinho is poised to return to South London as soon as his Madrid contract expires. No compensation will be changing hands, as Mourinho is being 'Released', this will no doubt please Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who has spend astronomical fees on several Managers since Mourinho left the club.

Ready For War: The Moment Of Truth Has Finally Arrived For Carl Froch.

The time for talk, is almost at an end.

The final week pf preparation of is well underway for IBF Super-Middleweight Champion Carl Froch for his unification fight with WBA Champion Mikkel Kessler at London's O2 Arena on Saturday (25th May). This is a fight Froch has been craving ever since he lost to the Dane during the 'Super Six' tournament in April 2010. Froch felt that Kessler was the benefactor of a Home decision that night and is keen to resolve the matter on home soil in-front of a sellout crowd of 20,000 fans.

Kessler is a man of his word, he promised Froch that he would come to England and return the favour after his victory in Herning, Denmark. The man known as 'The Viking Warrior' has fought in the United Kingdom before, losing to Joe Calzaghe way back in November 2007. Since that time, Kessler has developed into one of the fiercest fighters on the planet. Fearing nothing, he is a proud fighter who never takes a back step in his fights, sometimes this can be to his detriment, but anything else just isn't in his character.

Promised Much, Delivered Little. A Familiar Feeling For The New York Knicks.

Promised Much, Delivered Little. A Familiar Feeling For The New York Knicks.

At the end of it all, it was a feeling the New York basketball fans were all too familiar with.

In a season that promised much, the Knicks once again fell short of expectations and were eliminated from the Playoffs by the Indiana Pacers. Saturday's 106-99 loss meant a 4-2 series defeat and another season of underachievement. Despite winning their first playoff series since 2000, this year has left us with more questions than answers when it comes to the Knickerbockers ability to win a title.

This was a team built to 'Win now', filled with savvy veterans to compliment their All-NBA forward Carmelo Anthony. A title challenge was expected after a strong regular season, where they finished atop the Atlantic Division with a record of 54-28 and the number two seed in the Eastern Conference. This Knicks team had a different look about it than teams of the past. They had all bought into Mike Woodson's 'Team first' philosophy and most agreed that if anybody was going to dethrone the Miami Heat, it would be the Knicks.

Are The Memphis Grizzlies About To Shock The Basketball World And Claim An NBA Title?

In the end, it was an absolute demolition job.

The Memphis Grizzlies continued their fairytale post-season by destroying the Western Conference favourites, the Oklahoma City Thunder, 4-1 to advance into the Conference finals. The 88-84 victory to ensure their advancement was typical of the gritty determination they have shown throughout the season. Now, the team who had recorded just one Playoff series win in their history until this season, has a real chance of winning the West and quite possibly an NBA Championship.

They have never claimed to be the most popular or fashionable team that's ever graced a court. They are tough, workmanlike and work very well as a unit. These traits might not get you the Nationally televised games or the endorsement deals, but it does bring you success. It may have taken some time, but Memphis are now reaping the rewards for sticking to their principles and are finally getting the praise their performances have deserved for some time.
