2013 NFL Mock Draft Final Version

1. Kansas City ChiefsOT Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M University

Reason: The Chiefs have done a solid job in rebuilding their team from the hiring of new head coach Andy Reid, acquiring quarterback Alex Smith from the San Francisco 49ers, and re-sign wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. With current left tackle Branden Albert currently on the trade block, protecting Smith's blindside becomes an immediate need.

2. Jacksonville JaguarsDE/OLB Dion Jordan, University of Oregon

Reason: The Jaguars have hired former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley as their new head coach. Based on Bradley's background and the Jaguars need for an upgrade to their pass rushing unit. It is rumored that the Jaguars are down to selecting one of two players with their selection and that Jordan is one of them.

3. Oakland RaidersQB Geno Smith, West Virginia University

New York Jets 2013 Draft Scenario

9th OverallDE/LB Ezekiel Ansah, Brigham Young University

Reason: The Jets have needed to upgrade their lackluster pass rush for the past couple seasons now. With recent rumors of Bills possibly selecting a quarterback 8th overall, there is a strong possibility that Ansah might slide to the Jets if a combination of Geno Smith, Ryan Nassib, or Matt Barkley are selected by two teams ahead of the Jets.

13th OverallWR Tavon Austin, West Virginia University

Reason: The Jets have to get more offensive weapons capable of scoring touchdowns. Austin has a similar skillset as a former Marty Morhinweg wide receiver – DeSean Jackson. If Austin is able to contribute in the same capacity as Jackson in Morhinweg's system, the Jets should have an easier time scoring on offense next season. The Jets may also look to trade back in an effort to acquire more mid round selections during the draft.

2. Jacksonville JaguarsDT Shariff Floyd, University of Florida

Reason: The Jaguars have hired former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley as their new head coach. Based on Bradley's background and the Jaguars need for defensive line help, I believe that the Jaguars select the top defensive tackle in Floyd. Improving the interior of their defensive line should be a high priority.

NBA Draft 2012: Top 5 Draft Fits From Jared Sullinger To Harrison Barnes

High 5

Analyzing the results of the NBA Draft, there were picks that were expected and picks that were not. The first big surprise of the night came when the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Dion Waiters with the fourth overall pick, ahead of the higher rated players like Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, and Thomas Robinson. This is a huge gamble for a franchise trying to move on since the LeBron James departure and having to 'Witness' him winning a championship with the Miami Heat. Other surprises included seeing Baylor forward Perry Jones III slip all the way to the Thunder at No. 28 and the Rockets not completing a draft day trade for Dwight Howard.

After reviewing the results, here are the five winners of the night.

NBA Mock Draft 2012: Player Comparisons

This year's NBA Draft could be a rarity in that there are several teams within the Top 10 picks that could look to trade down or parlay these picks into veteran players to provide immediate contributions. These teams include the Charlotte Bobcats, Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, and the Detroit Pistons. However, this will be contingent on whom the Bobcats decide to select with the second overall pick.

If Beal is selected at number 2, the Wizards could then pursue a trade with a team targeting Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Harrison Barnes with the third pick.
