Get ready for more “Vampire Diaries” drama! Episode 6 of the fifth season airs Thursday, and we’ve got some scoop that is to DIE for. What can you expect in “Handle With Care”? Check out our breakdown of the top six things to know:

The Cure … And Then Death

At the end of episode 5, Damon force-fed the cure (Katherine) to Silas. And now Silas is as happy as a clam! “Today, after 2,000, years I finally get to die,” he says with excitement. The only catch is that he’s still a witch … which means he can’t meet Amara on the other side. In order for that to happen they still have to break the barrier between the living and the supernatural dead.

Silas Is Keeping His Word

Remember when Damon made a deal with Silas to bring Bonnie back from the dead? Well, it looks like Silas is keeping his promise. In a sneak peek video from “Handle With Care,” Silas leads Damon and Jeremy (crowbars in hand) to do the deed … but he has one stipulation – Elena can’t go. His reasoning is that he doesn’t feel like staring at a carbon copy of his one true love, Amara. But that’s not a good enough reason for Elena.

Bonnie’s Not Optimistic

Bonnie’s said it before and she’ll say it again – spells don’t come without consequences. While Jeremy and Damon might be bent on bringing the Bennett witch back from the dead, she’s being a little more realistic, telling Jeremy that she doesn’t have hope for it happening. But Jeremy wants her to have faith.

Tessa Has Other Plans

Silas may have taken the cure … but he’s still got a long road ahead of him to reunite with Amara.

“You don’t scheme as long as I have without considering every possibility,” Tessa tells Stefan.

What does Tessa have up her sleeve? It appears to be an alliance with Damon.

“I want him dead before he has the pleasure of finding the anchor,” she warns. But Damon has other plans. “I can’t kill him yet. He has to do something for me first,” he tells the witch.

Tessa’s more conniving than anyone could have imagined, though, because she was prepared for Damon’s response. “Is that something more important than Elena?” she asks Damon as she uses her power to cause Elena pain.

Katherine’s Alive

Silas may have drained Katherine of her blood, but the human appears to have nine lives. But just because she’s still alive doesn’t mean that getting her blood drained doesn’t come without consequences. TV Guide teases that Katherine will realize that there’s a major side effect “which will begin, or should we say fall out,” this week.

A New Roommate

With Katherine’s “new and unexpected consequence of becoming human again,” the doppelganger needs a play to stay – and ends up at Caroline and Elena’s dorm room. In exchange for a safe place to stay, Katherine “offers to show Caroline how to get answers from Dr. Maxfield.”
