Get ready for another flashback, “Vampire Diaries” fans! The hit CW show will be taking viewers back in time to the 1960s when episode 19 airs on April 24.

Episode 19, “Man on Fire,” will find Elena and Stefan growing closer -- but not due to Markos’ alternate reality visions. Elena’s torn up about her fallout with Damon at the end of episode 18, and Stefan’s being the ultimate friend by trying to distract her “from obsessing about the state of her relationship with Damon.”

But unfortunately the two can’t spend a nice day together -- because someone is always brewing up trouble. This time the trouble for Stefan and Elena isn’t the Travelers, but instead Enzo!

While Enzo is definitely rough around the edges, “Vampire Diaries” viewers have definitely fallen in love with him. However, fans might have to end their love affair with the Augustine vampire … because Enzo wants Stefan dead.

Since his introduction, Enzo has been obsessing about a girl named Maggie who used to work at Dr. Whitmore’s vampire research lab in the 1950s/1960s. Maggie showed Enzo compassion while he was locked up, and quit when she discovered what was being done to him. The Travelers promised Enzo that they’d reveal Maggie’s location, but Caroline reminded him that his love would be a lot older by now. However last episode we learned that Enzo’s not trying to date her … he just wants to thank her.

Well, thanks to flashbacks to election night in 1960, Enzo discovered what happened to his long lost love.

“You ready to talk about what you did to the love of my life?” Enzo says to Stefan in the promo video for episode 19. “Someone tore her head right off her body.”

Stefan tells Enzo that he had nothing to do with it, but needless to say, Enzo doesn’t believe him. Shoving his fist into Stefan’s stomach, Enzo calls Damon to warn him that Stefan will be dead soon.

But Stefan might actually be telling the truth. When Damon shows up, he tells Enzo that Stefan didn’t kill his girl.

Things turn “ugly” when Enzo forces Liv and Luke’s hand with some magic. And violence will definitely be present when Damon’s words “cause Enzo to make a desperate and dangerous decision” with Stefan.

Meanwhile “Man on Fire” won’t forget about the Travelers and the magic they are working on. With Markos in the real world, the Other Side is continuing to crumble … forcing Bonnie to become realistic about what it could mean for her existence as the Anchor.

Unfortunately the gang will have a hard time fighting Markos since Tyler went rogue with the Traveler knife. Tyler will be helping Markos and Sloan in a “ritual designed to break an ancient curse against the Travelers,” but that doesn’t mean he’s safe. Tyler’s role is dangerous, and he’ll witness “the incredible power the Travelers now possess.”
