‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 8 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘Fade Into You’? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

Get ready for an early Thanksgiving celebration on “The Vampire Diaries.” Season 6 of the hit CW series is getting into the holiday spirit with episode 8, “Fade Into You.”

According to the synopsis for the Nov. 20 episode, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) will be hosting a Friendsgiving feast at their dorm. While a college dorm room doesn’t seem to be the ideal location for a Friendsgiving dinner, “Vampire Diaries” fans have to remember that the supernatural members of the gang are still prevented from entering Mystic Falls thanks to that pesky Travelers curse.

As they prep for a feast, the gang will receive some hopeful news from Alaric (Matt Davis) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) after they travel to Portland to “gather some information regarding the Gemini Coven.” Although the synopsis doesn’t get too specific on their mission, “Vampire Diaries” viewers will remember that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) figured out that Bonnie (Kat Graham) is still alive in the May 10, 1994 universe. Could Alaric and Stefan be looking into a way to bring Bonnie back to the land of the living? It seems like a strong possibility, but Kai (Chris Wood) might beat them to it. The synopsis teases that the psychotic new villain will make a “dangerous discovery that brings him one step closer to his release.”

Like any Friendsgiving dinner, the main course is drama. Tyler (Michael Trevino) will do his best to help Liv (Penelope Mitchell) after she reveals some “disturbing information” about her and Luke’s (Chris Brochu) “witch lineage and the impending plan their coven has for them.” While it’s unclear if Tyler and Luke have anything to do with Kai, episode 7 of the CW series dropped the bombshell that Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) is Kai’s sister. During dinner Jo will find herself “fighting for her life” …and unfortunately Alaric will be left “scrambling to help from a distance.”
