Bonnie (Kat Graham) will not get together with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7, but she will date someone else viewers know. CW

Kat Graham just eliminated another possible love interest for her character Bonnie on “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7. The actress revealed Bonnie won’t date Matt (Zach Roerig), the CW drama’s lone human.

“Matt’s a very nice guy, but I don’t know if the Bonnie that’s finally back -- or the Bonnie that’s been hanging out with Damon Salvatore -- is anything like the sweet Bonnie from Seasons 2 or 3 who would even be good for him,” Graham told TVLine. “She gets involved in some crazy stuff, and even some dark stuff, this season. But I love that Matt is so beautifully human, and I like that they’ve always kept him human … even though Bonnie does something to him early on in the season that’s a little creepy and could go terribly awry. Other than that, they have a great relationship.”

Even though she won’t date Matt, Bonnie will date someone else this year. “It really surprised me who they ended up putting Bonnie with, but I was super stoked,” Graham added. “It’s someone that everyone knows and loves, so it’s super fun.”

Her love interest will not be Damon (Ian Somerhalder), much to the disappointment of many Bamon shippers. The Salvatore vampire will still be mourning Elena (Nina Dobrev) despite pleas from Somerhalder and Graham. “I mean, Ian and I have campaigned to work together in so many interviews, and we've just been shut down,” Graham told SheKnows. “So we'll see what the writers come up with. But as of right now, nothing's happened.”

With Damon and Matt eliminated, Stefan (Paul Wesley) taken by Caroline (Candice King) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) out of town, that leaves Alaric (Matt Davis) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey). It doesn’t seem likely the witch would hook up with the vampire while he’s torn between Bonnie’s group of friends and Lily’s (Annie Wersching) Heretics. That leaves Alaric. Could Bonnie start dating her former teacher? Executive producer Julie Plec previously teased they’d spend more time together this year.

“He’s dabbling in the occult in ways that maybe he shouldn’t be. He’s desperate to find things to contact the spirit of his dead wife,” Plec told Buddy TV in July. “It’s sad to watch and Bonnie takes pity on him. … So Bonnie sort of signs up as a buddy to help him reach out and contact her or do something that makes him able [to move on].”

Mourning his wife doesn’t exactly sound romantic, but the romance will take place in the future. Graham said her love interest would be revealed in a flash-forward in episode 5, so time may have changed a few things. Similarly, depending on how far in the future those scenes take place, it could be one of the men we think have been eliminated. Fans will have to tune in to “TVD” Season 7 to find out the identity of Bonnie’s new beau.
