“The Vampire Diaries” will introduce three new villains -- Valerie, Nora and Mary Louise – for the seventh season. The new characters will be played by Elizabeth Blackmore, Scarlett Byrne and Teressa Liane respectively.

The roles of Valerie, Nora and Mary Louise have been filled, Variety reported. These are the three new villains, who had their debut in the first episode of the show. According to the report, Elizabeth Blackmore will play Valerie, one of Lily Salvatore’s (Annie Wersching) dangerous heretics, endowed with "powerful magic and a dark and moody attitude." Thanks to her nature, she will find it difficult to adjust to her life in Mystic Falls and will be opposing Lily’s instructions. Finally when things go her way, it will cause a "dangerous chain of events that will change the face of Mystic Falls."

Scarlett Bryne and Teressa Liane will play the roles of same-sex couple Nora and Mary Louise. Both characters are heretics who “wreak havoc.” Nora was described as boyish with a "sly sense of humor." Her character is less interested in coexisting with the residents of Mystic Falls but rather finds enthusiasm in revenge and turmoil. On the other hand, Mary Louise is the girly one who has a “ strong point of view, which she isn’t afraid to express."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The Vampire Diaries” executive producer Julie Plec teased that the trio are “nasty, nasty, nasty girls.” They were mentioned during the panel in last week’s Comic-Con.

Meanwhile, the panel also discussed how the death of Elena (Nina Dobrev) will affect the succeeding storyline, Entertainment Weekly reported. “It’s the first time we see our characters try and go up against them [and they don’t know what they’re doing],” executive producer Caroline Dries said. Fans can expect to see more mayhem in the upcoming season.

Byrne is best known for her roles in “Harry Potter” and the “Falling Skies.” Liane played the role of Rhiannon Bates in “Neighbours.” Blackmore starred in the films “Legend of the Seeker” and “The Road Home.”

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 is will premiere on Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
