The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” may be filming its last season, but that hasn’t stopped the cast and crew from having fun on set. While shooting Season 8, thr actress who plays Caroline Forbes, Candice Accola-King, shared several photos of her on set, including one that shows the cast and crew taking a break and having fun.

On her Instagram account, Accola-King shared a photo that showed the cast and crew playing Spikeball. She captioned the image, “It’s officially spike ball season at TVD @spikeball #tvdseason8”

The singer and actress also shared another photo yesterday which showed a dark cabin. “Staying cozy on set…” she wrote.

Six days ago, King uploaded a photo of a makeup artist dolling up her face before shooting her scene on the set of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8. The photo also shows her daughter sitting on her lap and watching the artist putting eye shadow on her mother. “Momma’s lil helper…” she captioned the adorable picture.

Season 8 will kick off with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) searching for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) after he and his buddy Enzo (Michael Malarkey) were possessed by an evil entity in the Armory’s vault. It is safe to assume that evil wants something but right now fans aren’t clear what that is.

What is known is that the evil creature has coaxed Damon and his friend to leave a massive trail of dead bodies all over the country. This new villain isn’t just targeting Damon and Enzo, but also the whole Salvatore family including Sarah (Tristin Mays).

Nina Dobrev is in talks to returns for the CW series’ final season. However, no confirmation of her appearance has yet been received.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 premieres Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
