Vanessa Hudgens showed her love for her boyfriend Austin Butler on Instagram.

On Wednesday, Aug. 17, Butler turned 26. His girlfriend, Hudgens, did not miss the opportunity to send her love to her beau via social media.

The “High School Musical” star shared a sweet photo of her with Austin on Instagram. In the snapshot, the two are staring at each other’s eyes lovingly and are nearly kissing. Hudgens’ left hand is placed on Butler’s chest. The “Spring Breakers” star kept the caption short and just wrote, “Happy birthday to the love of my lifeeeee.”

Hudgens and Butler have been dating since 2011. The two were introduced to each other by actress Ashley Tisdale, Teen noted.

In March, Hudgens opened up about her long-distance relationship with Butler. The “Beastly” star was in New York at that time while her boyfriend was in New Zealand filming for MTV’s “The Shannara Chronicles.” For Hudgens, their relationship was “very long-distance” and when asked how they make it work, the “Gimme Shelter” star said that the key is “communication.”

“Just communication, communication is key,” Hudgens told People at the “Bubble Witch 3 Saga” launch pop-up. “I think that if anything’s bothering you, don’t hold it in. Always bring it up and just talk about it. Uncensor yourself and just be open.”

Just days before the launching, Hudgens posted a photo of her hugging and kissing Butler on Instagram. “Missing this guy,” she wrote in the caption.

Prior to Butler, Hudgens dated Zac Efron and Josh Hutcherson. Hudgens told Us Weekly that when she broke up with her “High School Musical” co-star they stopped talking.

“Oh, yeah, no... That’s not a thing that happen,” Hudgens said when asked if she still communicates with Efron. “I completely lost contact with him.”

Hudgens and Efron were young when they started dating. She was 16, while he was 17. The “Bandslam” actress confessed that she was not fond of Efron’s fans.

“I went through a phase when I was really mean because I was so fed up,” Hudgens told New York Times (via Us Weekly). “Girls were running after him, and I was giving them death stares. I realized that’s not what that’s about. Spread the love, be a good person, they support you, be nice.”

Hudgens may be all grown-up now as she doesn’t have the same issue with Butler. In fact, they were able to make a long-distance relationship work for them.
