Veena Malik to Play Sex Worker in ‘Zindagi 50:50,’ but Won't Go Nude

The actress, who is playing a sex worker in Rajeev Ruia's Zindagi 50:50, says there are some bold scenes in the movie, but they are very aesthetically shot.

While speaking to a leading daily, Veena said, When Rajeev approached me with the role, he wasn't very confident about whether I would be able to pull it off. I prefer playing a bad girl rather than a cute, bubbly one. My ideal role has to be negative, strong and performance-driven, Zee News reported.

However, when asked about the rumors that she would be going naked in the movie, the actress replied, I'm not stripping for any film. I have never gone nude nor does the film have such scenes.

Veena's controversial photo appeared on the cover of FHM magazine's December issue. She posed nude, donning an ISI tattoo on her arm and grabbed the attention of many extremist groups. Fatwas were issued against her.

In addition to the aesthetically shot bold scenes, there will be an item number by Veena and actress Riya Sen in Zindagi 50:50.

Meanwhile, Veena has set a record of sorts by getting the maximum number of entries (71,240) for Swayamvar Season 4 - Veena Ka Vivaah, the reality show on Imagine TV, bypassing earlier celebs Rakhi Sawant (30,000), Rahul Mahajan (43,000) and Ratan Rajput (54,000), reports Hindustan Times.

The applicants include candidates from India, Pakistan, the UK, the U.S and even Poland.

An overwhelmed Malik responded saying, I knew that guys serious about getting married would send in their profiles, but over 71,000 is a number beyond my expectations. And though I was expecting entries from the UK, US, India and Pakistan, I found it surprising to see a large number of entries from Poland.

I think Pakistani and Indian girls are famous for their beauty, family values and tradition, which is why even guys from Poland are interested, she added.

The reality show on Imagine TV will fetch Veena Rs 3 crore for being on the show and an additional Rs 1.5 crore if she gets married.
