The Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos called the debt swap deal a vote of confidence in the decisions for the Eurogroup and the euro area.

In comments to reporters at a press conference in Athens the fiancne minister said that the swap deal was unique to Greece given the fiscal, structural and macroeconomic problems. The parliament will convene later today after the teleconference for the finance ministers to discuss the swap and see if they will take the decision to activate the CACs that will increase the participation to 95.7% from 85.8% of bondholders that agreed to the deal.
