Chinese-American designer Vera Wang, known for her couture bridesmaid and wedding gowns, has added a new dimension to her designer range with a men's formalwear line.

The Men's Wearhouse, a U.S. retailer, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Wang Black by Vera Wang, a new tuxedo rental collection.

Although details about the partnership have not been revealed, reports indicate that Wang has already started working on the designer menswear range.

For more than 20 years, I have shared my design vision with women around the world, so it is exciting to now have the opportunity to share that with men as well, said Vera Wang.

With an exceptional reputation as one the largest men's specialty retailers, Men's Wearhouse was a natural retail partner for the Black by Vera Wang collection.

The couture designer is known for her glamorous collections and has a wide clientele comprising fashionistas and celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Sharon Stone, Victoria Beckham and Mariah Carey.

According to reports by WWD, although few details have yet been released, the range is to be produced by Flow Formalwear, which also manufactures tuxedos for Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren.

As one of the world's most celebrated designers, we are pleased to partner with Vera Wang for the Black by Vera Wang collection, said Doug Ewert, CEO of Men's Wearhouse, Inc. Men's Wearhouse has always been a leader in the men's specialty retail industry, and this exclusive partnership will allow us to continue providing our customers with high quality and reputable brands.

The Black by Vera Wang collection will reportedly be unveiled in all Men's Wearhouse retail stores in the U.S. and Moores Clothing for Men retail stores in Canada in late spring.

The inaugural collection will initially offer two modern tuxedo styles, with one style in black and the other in gray. Both tuxedos will feature a contemporary fit, via a slightly shorter 30.5-inch coat length (versus the 31-inch standard length) and narrow 2 1/2-inch lapel, which will provide a modern, sophisticated look. Ultra-lightweight fabrication will allow for a superior drape and luxe feel.
