Less than twenty four hours after opening pre-orders for the Verizon iPhone 4, the Verizon has sold out of the device.

The company opened pre-orders for existing subscribers at 3 a.m. on Thursday before closing them at 8:10 p.m. Eastern Time the same day.

According to Verizon CEO Dan Mead, by 5 a.m., the iPhone had already broken first-day sales records for Verizon phones, even before its official launch day release.

The Verizon iPhone 4 will be available online at 3:01 a.m. on Feb. 9th, and in stores Feb 10th.
