Top-seeds New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will face each other Sunday in the ultimate sporting event: Super Bowl XLIX. This year’s showdown will take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, but there will be plenty of pregame activities happening before the big game. With one million visitors expected to attend, the state of Arizona has teamed up with Verizon to transform downtown Phoenix into 2015 Super Bowl epicenter this week. Want to get in on the fun? ENTERTAINMENT

Listen to local talent and group musical performances starting at 2 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday and starting at 10 a.m. Saturday through Sunday on the Pepsi Concert Stage, located in the northwest corner of The Block at Verizon Super Bowl Central (#5 on the map). Come watch Ruff vs. Fluff in Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XI located on the patio outside Chloe’s Corner Café (#25 on the map). Skate on Phoenix’s only real outdoor ice rink at City Skate located between Washington and Jefferson Streets (#14 on the map).

Climb up 30 feet over Verizon Super Bowl Central on the super-sized Arizona-theme rock wall near 1st and Jefferson Streets (#3 on the map). The Grand Canyon Experience features a stunning backdrop photo of the Grand Canyon, along with a 20 foot waterfall. Admission costs $5 per person and ticket reservations are available for purchase online now.

Watch national networks, including The Today Show, CNN and the NFL Network, broadcasting live from Verizon Super Bowl Central at their studios near the corner of 2nd and Jefferson Streets (#2 on the map).

Experience flying in a hot air balloon, white water rafting, visiting archaeological sites or flying through Mexico City with the Mexico Live It To Believe It interactive 3D experience at the east façade of the Bank of America Tower on 3rd Street (#19 on the map).

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday, former NFL players will be offering free autographs at the AZCentral.com Autograph Stage located between Jefferson and Washington Streets (#9 on the map).
