Veterans Day 2014: 25 Stores, Theme Parks, Hotels & More Offering Discounts For Veterans And Active Military Members

If you want more than just a free meal this Veteran’s Day, look no further. In honor of the 2014 day of recognition for men and women of the U.S. military, we have compiled a list of 25 stores, theme parks, hotels and attractions offering freebies and other discounts to Veterans, active military members and their families Tuesday, Nov. 11. Keep in mind those participating in these offers must show proof of their past/current military status. Unless otherwise noted, all deals are only valid on Nov. 11, 2014.

STORES/SERVICES

Buy Buy Baby -- 20 percent off entire in-store purchase. The coupon is limited to one per customer and cannot be combined with a price match. Some other restrictions apply.

Bed, Bath and Beyond -- 20 percent off entire purchase. This offer can only be used for an in-store purchase.

Barnes and Nobles -- 15 percent off Barnes and Nobles’ 7-inch and 10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, NOOK and NOOK Glowlight devices. This offer can be redeemed in-store only at locations nationwide.

Wheel Works -- 10 percent off the lowest advertised price of any automotive service now through Nov. 16. This offer cannot be used toward the purchase of tires.

Firestone -- 10 percent off the lowest advertised price of any automotive service at any Firestone Complete Auto Care store now through Nov. 16. This offer cannot be used toward purchase tires.

Great clips -- Free haircut card that can be redeemed now through Dec. 31. There is a limit of one card per customer. This offer is valid while supplies last.

Publix -- 10 percent off purchase. Taxes are not included in the offer and some restrictions do apply.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores -- 20 percent off entire in-store purchase. This offer cannot be combined with other discounts or coupons. Some restrictions apply.

BUSINESSES/ACTIVITIES

Chuck E. Cheese’s -- 20 free tokens now through Nov. 15.

World of Coca-Cola -- Free admission through Nov. 16. Family and friends can purchase general admission tickets for half-price. Tickets can be purchased on site. Groups of 25 or more are encouraged to call in advance.

National Parks -- Free access to 133 U.S. National Parks as part of their last “fee-free” day of 2014.

Birmingham Zoo -- Free admission for active/retired service members and their dependents. Certain activities within the zoo, such as animal feedings and rides, are not included in the free ticket offer.

Denver Zoo -- Free admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

9/11 Memorial Museum -- Free admission.

THEME PARKS

Busch Gardens -- 50 percent off single-day admission tickets for each member of service and up to three dependents. This offer is not available at the front gate.

SeaWorld -- 50 percent off single-day admission tickets. The ticket must be used by Dec. 21, 2014. This offer is not available at the front gate and must be purchased using the TROOP ID button at SeaWorld.com.

Knots Berry Farm -- Free admission for one service member and a guest now through Jan. 4, 2015. Up to six additional tickets can be purchased for the discounted price of $24 each.

Sesame Place -- 50 percent off single-day admission tickets for one service member and up to three dependents. This offer is not available at the park’s front gate.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom -- Free admission and discounted tickets for up to three guests. This offer can be redeemed at the front gate. Guests using this offer also will be provided with double-rides in Oasis Plaza during their visit.

LEGOLAND Florida -- Free admission through Nov. 23 and discounted admission for family members. Service men and women can receive free ticket at the parks. Those looking to use the family member discount are advised to purchase tickets in advance at participating military base ticket offices.

Disneyland (California) -- Military promotional three-day park hopper tickets for Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure for $132. This offer is available now through Oct. 1, 2015. (Blackout dates include Dec. 25, 2014, through Jan. 4, 2015, and March 29, 2015, through April 9, 2015.)

Disney World (Florida) -- Four-day Military Promotional Tickets (park hopper included) for $177, plus tax. Purchase now through Sept. 30, 2015. (Blackout dates include Dec. 22, 2014, through Jan. 2, 2015 and March 25, 2015, through April 9, 2015.)

HOTELS

Red Roof Inn -- 15 percent off a stay during the entire month of November. This offer is subject to availability and blackout dates do apply.

Mohegan Sun -- Special $99 hotel room rate available through Nov. 13. To book a room online using this offer, use the promo code HERO. Credentials will be requested upon check-in to receive this rate.
