A quite compelling piece on the lack of vacation time in America, along with attitudes towards vacation. While I realized Europe had far more vacation time than the U.S. I did not know of the top 30+ developed nations, America was the only one without mandated vacation. As I like to say in my off line world, in most developed countries they work to live, whereas in the U.S. we live to work. As the piece says, we cannot blame our Puritan roots as the English even have 4 weeks of mandated vacation.
A very interesting piece for both U.S. readers and probably quite eye opening for our foreign readers as well.
