[VIDEO] Barcelona 4-2 Mallorca Highlights: Lionel Messi Nets Two in Catalans Win

Barcelona put up three quick goals in the first half and survived a late burst by Mallorca for a 4-2 win in La Liga play at Estadio Son Moix Sunday.

Lionel Messi (M) scored his 12th and 13th goals of the season in Barcelona's 4-2 win over Mallorca Sunday.

Xavi scored his third goal of the season in the 28th minute, and Lionel Messi and Cristian Tello scored in the final two minutes of the first half for 3-0 lead.

Mallorca responded with Michael Pereria charging down the middle of the field, and the Catalans defense leaving him wide open in front of the net for a goal in the 55th minute.

Barcelona would slip up again thanks to a hand ball by Sergio Busquets. Mallorca’s Victor Casasdesus would fire home the penalty and keep the game close at 3-2.

But Messi would answer in the 70th, netting his second goal of the day, as the Mallorca defense looked to referees for an offsides call. Messi now has 13 goals on the season.
