There seems to be no stopping Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid superstar delivered one of the best goals in international competition this year in a hat trick against Armenia on Saturday at Republican Stadium in Yerevan, Armenia. With 10 men, Portugal outlasted Armenia, 3-2, to remain clear at the top of their European Championship qualifying group.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Ronaldo came to rescue for Portugal. He scored off a penalty kick and then added two goals in the 55th minute and 58th minute. His second goal was an impressive example of how Ronaldo can battle with defenders to get a poke on the ball. Ronaldo managed to get around Robert Arzumanyan and get a foot on the ball and score.

But it was the 58th-minute goal that really raised eyebrows. The 30-year-old forward unleashed a right-footed blast from about 25 yards that curled away from goalkeeper Roman Berezovski. It was a stunning strike, and the former Manchester United star knew it, as he celebrated with his teammates.

Despite conceding a goal to Hrayr Mkoyan in the 73rd minute, Portugal were able to hang on for the win, with midfielder Tiago getting sent off in the 62nd minute.

Ronaldo has scored 55 goals in 117 appearances for Portugal. He has scored 26 European Championship goals, and has scored 55 total goals in all competitions for club and country this season.
