Update [4:37 p.m.]: Cooper since apologized in three consecutive tweets: "I am so ashamed and disgusted with myself. I want to apologize. I have been offensive. I have apologized to my coach, Jeffrey Lurie, and"...

"Howie roseman and to my teammates. I owe an apology to the fans and to this community. I am so ashamed, but there are no excuses. What I did.."

"Was wrong and I will accept the consequences."

When Jeremy Maclin went down with a torn ACL this past weekend, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper felt sorry for his friend, but he also had an opportunity to be the team's No. 2 receiver.

Now a more central role on offense may be the least of his worries. Cooper may have to apologize to his teammates for a racial slur he used during a Kenny Chesney concert at Lincoln Financial Field last month that was caught on video.

According to The Big Lead, a video was obtained by Philly sports blog Crossing Broad which shows the 25-year-old receiver being held back by friends. The Big Lead also said it confirmed that it is Cooper in the video.

In the video below, Cooper says pointing behind the camera: “I will jump that fence and fight every n***** here bro!”

A groan from some unseen person is heard and the quick 20-second clip cuts out.

At the same concert last month, Cooper nearly got into a fight in the parking lot. New Eagles head coach Chip Kelly and other players later joined Cooper on stage during the show, according to Crossing Broad.

After Maclin went down Cooper tweeted: “Say a prayer for our boy @jmac_18 we Luv ya bro.”

Most of the NFL could be incensed by Cooper's words. The University of Central Florida released a study in September of last year of the NFL and its racial hiring practices with updated data from the 2011 season. That report stated 69 percent of the league is made up of African-American players.

He will have a lot of explaining to do to his African American quarterback Michael Vick, as well as much of the Eagles first string offense like star running back LeSean McCoy and fellow receiver DeSean Jackson.

Cooper is originally from Oklahoma but played his high school and college ball in Florida. He was drafted by the Eagles in the fifth round in 2010. In three seasons he has 46 receptions for 679 yards and five touchdowns in 40 career games.
