Manchester United stretched their Premier League winning streak to four games as the Red Devils thumped Fulham on Wednesday at Craven Cottage, 5-0.

Forward Danny Welbeck got the scoring started in the fifth minute with a left-footed shot off the cross from Nani. The Portuguese winger would follow that up with header goal 23 minutes later off a cross from Ryan Giggs.

Fulham conceded their third goal, in the dying minutes of the first half, when Giggs and Nani combined for a goal yet again. This time, it was Nani would found Giggs, and the Welshman chipped the ball over David Stockdale to put United up, 3-0.

United put the finishing touch on Fulham with two goals in the closing minutes from Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov. Rooney's shot was a fanstastic right-footed effort from distance. Berbatov's goal was a clever back heel following a fine cross from Antonio Valencia.

It was an uninspired effort by the Cottagers. Fulham failed to build off their victory over Bolton on Dec. 17, but didn't put up much of an attack. Fulham was looking to gain momentum after crashing out of the Europa League last week.

Anders Lindegaard got the start in goal for United instead of regular David De Gea.

Fulham took 15 shots, with five on goal, while Manchester United took 18 shots, with eight on goal. The Red Devils had possession for 57 percent of the match.

Things don't get much easier for the Cottagers, as they face Chelsea on Boxing Day. Meanwhile, Manchester United's next game is a home match against lowly Wigan.

United kept pace with leaders Manchester City, who had a home win over Stoke, 3-0.
