Real Madrid finished Champions League group play in style with a 3-0 win over Ajax, at Amsterdam Arena on Wednesday.

Jose Maria Callejon scored twice, and Gonzalo Higuain also found the back of the net as Los Galacticos finished their group with an undefeated record, and outscored their opponents 19-2 in six games.

Callejon got the scoring started in the 14th minute when he was left alone to slip the ball between the legs of Antonio Adan.

Four minutes before halftime, Higuain raced up the right side and drilled a fast-break shot by Adan, off the assist from Karim Benzema.

In the dying moments of the match, Callejon scored his second goal off a through ball from Xabi Alonso. Though Real Madrid won convincingly, they didn't have that many chances.

Ajax was the agressor in the match, but simply couldn't execute. The Dutch club took 19 shots with seven on goal, while Real Madrid only took nine shots, with five on goal. Ajax controlled the ball for 55 percent of the match.

Manager Jose Mourinho rested several notable starters including Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria, and Pepe.

The Real Madrid win serves a source of momentum as the club host La Liga rival Barcelona on Saturday at Santiago Bernabeu.
