Real Madrid's attack was in full force as the La Liga titans held off CSKA Moscow in the Round of 16 second leg on Wednesday at Santiago Bernabeu, 4-1.

Real Madrid got on the board in the first half due to a fine assist from Kaka. Forward Gonzalo Higuain scored in the 26th minute as the CSKA defenders somehow lost sight of Kaka, who delivered a fine pass from the left side. The Brazilian playmaker found Higuain, who knocked the ball in from less than 10 yards out.

Jose Mourinho's squad put more pressure on the CSKA goal in the second half.

In the 55th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a right-footed shot from outside the box to the bottom right corner that skipped past Sergey Chepchugov

In the 70th minute, Karim Benzema's right-footed shot found the back of the net to give Los Galacticos the comfortable lead.

CSKA would get one back in the 77th minute, when Serbian midfielder Zoran Tosic ripped a left-footed shot from outside the box to the top left corner off the assist by young forward Alan Dzagoev on a fast break.

But Ronaldo would put the final touch on the match with a short shot in stoppage time to give Real Madrid the three-goal lead.

Real Madrid took 15 shots, with seven on goal, while CSKA Moscow took seven shots with three on target. Madrid controlled possession for 63 percent of the match.
