Real Madrid reasserted their dominance over La Liga foes with a drumming of Osasuna at Estadio El Sadar on Saturday, 5-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain each scored twice, after Karim Benzema scored the opening goal. Osasuna played with 10 men following a second yellow card to Roland Lamah in the dying moments of the match.

Real Madrid had a three-goal lead heading into halftime. Osasuna received a goal in the 48th minute from forward Juan Francisco Martinez, but Los Galacticos would follow with a Ronaldo strike in the 70th, and ah Higuain goal in the 77th.

Osasuna actually had plenty of chances to score, but simply couldn't execute. Real Madrid finished with 13 shots with seven on goal, while Osasuna also had 13 shots, but with only one on target. Possession was evenly split.

Real Madrid have a six-point advantage on Barcelona, who defeated Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou, 2-0.
