Seven-time champion and No. 2 Roger Federer had seemingly done it all before at Wimbledon, wowing the All England Tennis Club crowds with his incredible all-around play. But the 33-year-old Swiss star managed to top himself Thursday with an incredible between-the-legs lob shot against American Sam Querrey.

After Querrey delivered a solid serve, he tried to pin Federer in the corner and approach the net for an easy slam and point. Instead Federer charged back to the opposite side baseline, split his legs and lobbed the ball well over Querrey’s head for the point.

Federer went on to win the second-round match 6-4 6-2 6-2 in under an hour and a half.

Federer hasn’t won at Wimbledon since 2012, but he certainly showed off the swagger and confidence of a former champ who’s ready to challenge favorite Novak Djokovic should they meet in the later stages of the tournament.
