The U.S. and Mexico battled in Pasadena for the 2011 Gold Cup. (No spoiler here.)

It was a very pro-Mexico crowd at the sold-out Rose Bowl, as a trip to the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil was on the line. There was plenty of back-and-forth action as the two top teams in CONCACAF created plenty of goal-scoring opportunities.

It was a high-scoring match from the very start. Neither team displayed a strong effort in central defense creating holes for the offenses to pressure goalkeepers Tim Howard and Alfredo Talavera.

Here are highlights from the match.
