A Fairfax, Virginia grandmother who is accused of killing her granddaughter after allegedly throwing her over a walkway has pleaded insanity.
Camela Dela Rosa, 51, allegedly threw her granddaughter, 2-year-old Angelyn Ogdoc, over a walkway that connected a Tysons Corner Center to a parking garage, McLean's Patch.com reported.
Yes, I did it, Dela Rosa said, according to a police officer, NBC reported. I threw the baby off.
The incident happened last Nov. Angelyn fell approximately 50 feet and died a few hours later, the Associated Press reported.
Jury selection began on Monday, USA Today reported.
Angelyn's parents, Mary and James Ogdoc, could be asked to testify as witnesses, Patch.com reported.
The trial is expected to last two weeks, NBC reported.
