The 2011 Major League Baseball season is coming to a close, so it's time for people to take the the season awards more seriously.

In the American League, the Tigers' Justin Verlander is competing for both the Cy Young award and the MVP. The Rookie of the Year award will be a heated contest in both leagues.

Perhaps the most debated award will be the Cy Young award in the National League. Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers has a statistical edge, but some might consider his numbers aren't as impressive as the trio of Phillies' pitchers. Kershaw pitches in a weak-hitting division in a pitchers' park, while Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, and Cole Hamels pitch in a hitters' friendly park and face tougher batters in the National League East.

In the polls below, feel free to vote and share your comments about what players should win which awards, as well as make predictions and thoughts about the upcoming postseason.

The polls will close on Wednesday, September 28 at 11:59 pm.
