Some “Walking Dead” fans may already know the final lines of Season 6. Although the finale isn’t set to air on AMC until this Sunday, audio from the ending of episode 16 allegedly leaked online.
The audio files from the Season 6 finale reportedly came from fan site The Spoiling Dead. The clips were posted Wednesday, and allegedly featured a conversation between Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and some of the Alexandria survivors. Without going into too much detail, the audio is said to include Negan choosing a person from Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) group to kill. The audio files have since been removed, and The Spoiling Dead Facebook page is even claiming that AMC “locked” their page for the next few days.
“Other than deleting comments and banning people, they cannot interact with you,” a post from Thursday reads. “They cannot reply to page messages or use messenger. Any further spoiler information will be posted on other TSDF media accounts and/ or at the forum.”
The fan site added on their Tumblr page that they received a “DMCA take down notice” from the network. DMCA stands for Digital Millennium Copyright Act. That means that the owner of the content – AMC in this case – is able to request that a website remove illegally published or distributed content.
While this leak featured some major spoilers, it’s not the first leak that AMC has had to deal with regarding the Season 6 finale. Just a few weeks ago The Spoiling Dead posted a list of plot details from episode 16. A promo video for the final installment was also leaked ahead of episode 15 last Sunday.
The upcoming Season 6 finale is surrounded by a lot of hype and speculation because it will introduce an important comic book villain named Negan. Negan is the leader of a group of survivors called the Saviors. Rick’s crew has already ran into the Saviors on numerous occasions, but have yet to meet Negan. In fact, a couple members of the Saviors told them that Negan didn’t exist, and that they are all Negan. That will prove to be false in Sunday’s installment.
