Walking Dead
Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" premieres on AMC on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. AMC

Pack your katana, grab your crossbow and get ready to go on the run. “The Walking Dead” returns to AMC for its highly anticipated fourth season on Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT, and the premiere is reportedly “utterly disgusting.”

The International Business Times has already broke down everything you need to know from the season 3 finale, but now we’re breaking down the spoilers for the upcoming season. Check out a complete spoiler roundup below:

Starting Off

Season 4 of “The Walking Dead” will kick off a few months after the Governor raided the prison and slaughtered his army. The new prison group, which includes the survivors from Woodbury, has formed a “governmental committee to ensure their lasting safety.”

Character Development

“Walking Dead” viewers have already watched their favorite characters evolve – some for the better and some for the worse. Glenn’s Steven Yeun revealed to Entertainment Weekly that “this season is very beautiful” due to character development which will lead to “truly touching moments.”

A Huge Comic Book Role – Sgt. Abraham Ford

“Walking Dead” comic book lovers will be ecstatic to learn that Abraham will be making the jump from the pages to the screen. It was announced at New York Comic Con that “Southland” actor Michael Cudlitz will be playing Sgt. Abraham Ford, “an Army man and sports coach before the outbreak.” In the comics Abraham becomes a key player in protecting the group and is Rick’s right-hand man … watch out, Daryl.

Rick Will Be Happy

... very briefly. Fans of the AMC series have seen Rick go through a VERY rough time. But rest assured that you’ll get a smile out of him in episode 1. However, Andrew Lincoln dished to TVLine that his character won’t stay in a better place for long.

Civilization

Rick’s group has grown tremendously since the end of season 2. New episodes will find the prison slowly trying to create civilization through farming, animals and classes for the young kids.

Threats From The Inside

In a zombie apocalypse there will always be threats … and unfortunately not all of them come from the walkers. The Governor is still lurking out there somewhere, but season 4 will find threats coming from within their camp. Lincoln told TVLine that one character will be “playing God” when a threat appears.

Lauren Conrad expanded on that, revealing in another interview with TVLine that “the biggest horror of the season involves turns that the characters have taken for the betterment of the group.”

Michonne’s Plan

Michonne may have joined the Prison group, but she’s still a lone wolf. This season she’ll trade in her zombie pets for a horse, which she’ll use to go on “business trips” … because she has “some unfinished business to confront.”

Another Threat

According to TVGuide, “old-school issues become major problems in this new world.” What could those “old-school issues” be? Viewers will get a bite of it by the end of the season 4 premiere.

A Zombie Baby

Zombie Bites

The season 4 premiere will reportedly feature “every gag,” including – walkers, mummified corpses, puppets and … zombie bites.

New Locations

Two new locations to be featured in season 4 will be a “Big Spot” store and a power plant.

If those spoilers didn’t get you hungry enough for the new season of the “Walking Dead,” Norman Reedus told E! Online that the new drama will “blow people away.”
