"The Walking Dead" returns on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9 p.m. AMC

The gods at AMC have released ANOTHER “Walking Dead” promo video for episode 9 … and it is epic! The hit series returns with its midseason premiere on Sunday, Feb. 9, but fans don’t have to wait until then to see where their favorite characters are at. Clips from the new trailer give a few sneak peeks at the troubles that lie ahead for Daryl, Maggie, Beth and maybe even baby Judith.

AMC’s latest promo video for “The Walking Dead” opens up with a scene of the prison burning and Carl helping Rick escape the grounds on foot. Carl eventually stops supporting his father and can be seen walking a few feet in front of him with a stern face. Rick staggers behind him, beat up not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. “We’ll never get things back to the way they used to be,” Rick says huskily in a voice-over.

While Rick and Carl seem to be OK for now, Daryl seems to have got himself in a bit of trouble. Last time viewers saw the crossbow wielding survivor, he was fleeing the prison with Beth. However, the promo video shows him alone and sprinting through a graveyard at night. Lizzie and her sister seem to be in a similar situation and can be seen running as fast as they can down railroad tracks.

“We’ll find a safe place soon,” Tyreese can be heard saying. “We will.” But who is he addressing? The midseason finale ended with him getting saved by Lizzie and then chasing after her and the other kids. Did Tyreese manage to catch up to them? Did Lizzie and the others have baby Judith? The clip of Lizzie and her sister running doesn’t show them holding a baby but it’s possible that they could be running back to a group location where they left her.

As for Hershel’s daughters? Maggie and Beth were separated and both appear to be cracking under the pressure of not only losing their father, but their home and each other. “You’ve got to save who you are,” Beth says as the video shows Maggie desperately trying to fend off a walker. “Not who you were.”

The 30-second promo video concludes with Michonne fighting off walkers with her katana and Beth walking away from a burning building.
