Walking Dead
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) will struggle at Terminus in Season 5 of "The Walking Dead." AMC

Brace yourselves, “Walking Dead” fans. AMC has released a brand new trailer for Season 5 of the popular zombie drama. Set to premiere on Sunday, Oct. 12, viewers can get a look at some of the gory action that lies ahead.

The video begins with a clip of what appears to be walkers – engulfed in flames – heading towards a building. After that the trailer cuts to a shot of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) holding a gun, and the people of Terminus dragging him outside. Rick’s body gets thrown to the ground, forcing the former sheriff to slam his head into the pavement. The tumble must have done some damage, because a follow up shot shows him gagged and disoriented in front of the Terminus leader, Gareth (Andrew J. West).

All hell seems to break loose after that. A massive explosion sends walkers and body parts through the air, while a bloody Rick holds a large gun … ready to fire.

“It’s not over until they’re all dead,” a man’s voice says over the shot of Rick.

The trailer also gives “Walking Dead” fans a first look inside a church where comic book character Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) will likely make his entrance to the show. Meanwhile another clip shows that Tyreese (Chad Coleman) and Carol (Melissa McBride) will manage to reunite with their former group members. But while finding former loved ones remains a priority, the video also teases that Rick and the other survivors have become almost savages.

“Cross any of these people, you kill them,” Rick warns his people. “Don’t hesitate. They won’t.”

“The Walking Dead” Season 5 will premiere on AMC on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. EDT. What do you think of the new trailer? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
