Wall Street ended higher on Thursday as appetite for riskier assets returned to the market after a pledge by European leaders to support debt-ridden Greece eased fears of a possible sovereign default.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 105.88 points, or 1.05 percent, to close at 10,144.26. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> gained 10.36 points, or 0.97 percent, to close at 1,078.49. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> rose 29.54 points, or 1.38 percent, to close at 2,177.41.
