(REUTERS) - Stocks fell on Monday, with major indexes down two percent on lingering concerns about a deal over economic integration in Europe and after Intel Corp. cut its fourth-quarter revenue expectations.

The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 232.01 points, or 1.90 percent, to 11,952.25. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index dropped 26.90 points, or 2.14 percent, to 1,228.29. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 53.39 points, or 2.02 percent, to 2,593.46.
