FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - U.S. markets finish with gains on Thursday helped by a decline in continuing unemployment claims and higher exports and imports. The Dow Jones rose 0.67% and the Nasdaq gained 0.33%. Dollar is calm across the board posting mix results for the day. Currencies tied to commodities are consolidating important gains.

Stocks rose in Europe and in the U.S. but fell in Asia. Markets in Europe finished with gains of more than 0.75% on average. Crude oil recovered ground after falling below $70 a barrel to trade at a fresh two-month low. Gold is slightly up and trades at $1,130 an ounce. Treasuries fell for the second day in a row.

Dollar is mix across board posting gains to the Yen but is falling against currencies tied to commodities. EUR/USD trades above 1.4700 and faces resistance at 1.4735. GBP/USD holds above 1.6250 near the same prices it had at the beginning of the day.
