Wall Street rallied for a fourth day on Thursday after Greek lawmakers passed a second austerity bill designed to prevent a default, while business activity in the U.S. Midwest surged.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 118.56 points, or 0.97 percent, to 12,379.98. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> gained 9.92 points, or 0.76 percent, to 1,317.33. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> gained 23.88 points, or 0.87 percent, to 2,764.37.
