Wall Street little changed as Wal-Mart, data drag

Stocks were little changed on Thursday as data showed an increase in jobless claims and stronger-than-expected inflation growth, adding to concerns after a weak outlook from Wal-Mart .

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> added 7.41 points, or 0.07 percent, to 10,316.65. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> ticked up 0.52 points, or 0.05 percent, at 1,100.03. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> eased 0.88 points, or 0.04 percent, to 2,225.41.
