Wall Street opens down after data
U.S. stocks opened down on Thursday as weak labor data rekindled concerns about the strength of the consumer and the economic recovery.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 59.94 points, or 0.47 percent, at 12,663.64. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 8.14 points, or 0.60 percent, at 1,339.18. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was down 14.09 points, or 0.50 percent, at 2,814.14.
