Wall Street opens higher after payrolls data
Stocks jumped at the open on Friday after the January employment report beat the highest expectations, boosting hopes the world's largest economy has turned a corner.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 93.51 points, or 0.74 percent, to 12,798.92. The S&P 500 Index <.SPX> rose 11.39 points, or 0.86 percent, to 1,336.93. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> added 27.54 points, or 0.96 percent, to 2,887.22.
