Wall Street pares losses; S&P, Nasdaq turn up
Stocks pared losses in early morning trade on Friday with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq turning positive.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 19.52 points, or 0.18 percent, at 10,971.06. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 1.26 points, or 0.11 percent, at 1,141.91. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 11.13 points, or 0.47 percent, at 2,391.56.
